We have been working for months to create new feature and enhance the performance of COVUM P1. As promised, our new version 4.4 of COVUM P1 is now available for all our present and future customers.

From now on there is a new price list of COVUM P1. It offers greater flexibility due to bookable storage space packages for a minimum period of 7 days. The smallest model "P1 Start" already offers 10GB storage space.

What's new?

COVUM DESIGNER

- improved user interface for consumers

- improved text editing functions (float text around any object) 

P1 Surface

- Option to import svg files

- Documentation and administration of print jobs from the shop

- Automated print data delivery via FTP

- More flexibility in creation of templates (limation of number of pages and

  preselection of page packages)

- PDF-upload function for consumers

In addition to that we also have been working on speeding up several functions and on optimizing the system's stability. All documentation about enhancements and changes can be found here and in our release notes soon to be published at this website.

The CeBIT 2011 has by far exceeded all our expectations and objectives again.

As the only attending web-to-print provider at the fair, our team could generate a large number of new contacts. The extension of COVUM P1 to a Corporate Publishing solution has attracted the main interest as well. The new features of the current COVUM P1 version 4.4 were showcased to our customers and interested parties in over fifty live presentations at our booth. During the fair several company representatives requested an instant trial access.

Our special showcase for the CeBIT was very well received: we demonstrated how to print a postcard directly from an FTP server file after having designed it with our designer tool and placed the order in our eShop.

The young people were especially attracted by our community platform Layoudd.com. The clear concept of the platform and the free LAYOUDD designer, our web-based layout and graphics tool, were certainly most persuasive.

In conclusion, this year’s presence of Covum at the CeBIT was very successful and we look forward to attending the CeBIT 2012 once more.

Just like last year Covum will be presenting its all-in-one-web-to-print solution COVUM P1 from 1 March to 5 March 2011 at the CeBIT in Hannover, Germany.

This time we will focus on the latest release of P1 with additional and improved features regarding the COVUM DESIGNER and our web-to-print shop module. Furthermore we will be presenting our new SaaS price structure which makes the easy and riskless entry into COVUM P1 even more attractive for our target groups.

Covum has developed a new community platform to create and share layouts of every kind: Layoudd.com.

This is possible by using our own web-based graphic tool called COVUM DESIGNER. There are no limits to the users’ fantasy... Everybody can use layoudd.com – from non-professionals to professionals – to create all new layouts and contribute to the community by publishing them in the public gallery, by commenting other layouts or sharing the links of own or favorite ones via e-mail, Facebook or Twitter.

Layoudd.com is unique: you can not only publish your own layouts but let them get edited by other users or together with them. That’s what we call community!

That is why Layoudd.com stands for creative layouting, no matter if it is a post card, an invitation, a label or a photobook.

The launch of www.layoudd.com will be by 08th of December 2010 – stay tuned.

Starting today, our new website assigned to COVUM P1 will be online. You will not only find more detailled information about the product, but downloadable documents, a FAQ section and target group specific data, too.

As promised, our new version 4.3 of COVUM P1 is ready for update very soon! We are planning the changeover for Monday, August 9th starting 5pm. Thus, your COVUM P1 system will be not available for several hours.

The countdown for our new release is on. With the beginning of August you can expect new features and functions which make web-to-print with COVUM P1 even easier than it is now.

If you are already a customer, your COVUM P1 is being updated automatically. For every new customer and user of the 30-days testing phase the new version is also available of course. Stay tuned!

COVUM P1, the webbased collaboration platform for print jobs in the print industry and marketing departments, enjoys a growing popularity.

The number of customers who decide to use different business models for being productive after a free phase of testing, is increasing. Especially attractive for printing plants, agencies and companies are the stepwise integretation of publishing workflows into the platform, the possibility of co-working internally, with partners or customers - and all this without an investment risk.

Examples of use are as different as our customers: starting from a simple business card to a whole advertising material platform, from corporate-wide image and graphics management to a complete web-to-print shop.

In the meantime the optimization and development of COVUM P1 is moving on. In the new release (August 2010) we take many suggestions and wishes of our customers into account. Thus we improve the flexibility and usability of COVUM P1: graphical functions and possibilities, document management, administration and many more.

As an event partner of the creative printing 2010 on 22nd April in Vienna, Covum was able to present a web-to-print-solution with COVUM P1 in front of an interested audience representing the internet and print industry. On the subject of "Print. Web. Crossmedia. All in one?", several speakers presented the latest trends of the digital print world. The presentation of Covum "More Web - more Print" and detailled information on the event can be downloaded on www.creative-printing.info.

The CeBIT 2010 has by far exceeded all our expectations and objectives. As the only attending European web-to-print provider the fair was not only a chance to meet up with our customers and interested parties. Even more gratifying was the number and quality of generated contacs. The new features of the current COVUM P1 version were showcased live in over fifty presentations. Aside the overwhelmingly positive feedback regarding functionality, design and pricing there was great interest regarding the new easy-mode of the COVUM DESIGNER, which is integrated in the open shop (Web shop). All in all, thirty-three interested parties with professional backgrounds in the field of printing, media agency and marketing immediately requested an trial access.
